Northside Neighborhood Association The Northside Neighborhood Association is hosting an alley walk and garage sale in its historic alleyways. The self-guided walk will loop through the Northside, beginning near Linn and Davenport Streets and ending at Linn and Brown Streets (see route map). Along the way, walkers can look at alley gardens; peer into backyards, garages, and workshops; and browse garage sales. The Preucil School of Music will be holding a book sale and music play-in at North Market Square Park that morning, and there will be refreshment stands along the route. Prizes will be awarded for
Along with the Alley Beautification Project, the Alley Walk/Garage Sale Day has been made possible by a grant from Iowa City’s Program for Improving Neighborhoods fund. The alley walk is FREE, but donations in support of the Wetherby neighborhood splash-pad project will be gratefully accepted.
